Ron Burch makes his living as a screenwriter in Los Angeles. His plays have been produced and developed by the Adirondack Theatre Festival, New York Theatre Workshop, The Lark, the Public Theater, ASK Theatre Projects, and others. The Baby was a finalist for “The National Ten-Minute Play Contest” at Actors Theatre of Louisville and will be published in the anthology The Best Ten-Minute Plays 2011 (Smith & Kraus). His movies include Beverly Hills Chihuahua; Yours, Mine & Ours; and Head Over Heels. In television he was nominated for a primetime Emmy. His short stories have appeared in print and on-line at The Mississippi Review, The Saint Ann’s Review, Pear Noir, Pindeldyboz, Brooklyn Review, PRISM International (Canada), and other places; he has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and his first novel, Bliss Inc., was published by BlazeVOX in 2010. His flash-fiction collection, Menagerie, will be published by Aqueous Books in May 2014. Ron is a member of The Dramatists Guild, Writers Guild of America West, ASCAP, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, and the 2011/2012 PlayLabs at the Katselas Theatre Company, Beverly Hills, CA. |
